My little test (AnnoDomini 2012, 20.10.2012, Ubuntu 10.04) I'm maily interested in RAM&CPU cheap access to GMail, GCalendar and documentation (static pages, maybe forums), eventually WordPress.com (WP)

Chromium is even worse than Firefox when add memory footprint of all its proceses.

Conclussion: In the test I use only browsers available in Ubuntu main repositories. It appears that Midori is a "lighter Firefox" and Uzl isn't as much better to leart new habbits (kaybindings).
