[edit] Cool Linux Games

There are very few good games for Linux; the number of games is not even close to a percentage of what is available for other operating systems like Windows. But some games are available...

[edit] Native Linux Games

[edit] Arcade

  • chromium Classic spaceship shoot-them-up game

[edit] FPS

[edit] Chess

  • xboard Play chess against others on internet chess servers or against the Gnuchess engine
  • Knights Just like xboard, only for KDE and better-looking

[edit] Card games

  • Hearts KDE clone for the Windows hearts game

[edit] Game emulators

The best way to get a huge abundance of games available on a Linux system is to use emulators for other systems. Almost all of the emulators will allow you to play at least ten times more games than what is available natively for Linux (games are generally available on USENet and your Local Friendly P2p network).
